Global Economic Data by Country

The table below shows selected economic statistics for the 70 largest economies in the world. This covers about 95% of the world’s economic output and 86% of the world’s population.

Countries are ranked by their GDP at PPP rather than at nominal GDP. We believe this is the best measure of economic output and living standards for a country because it is a measurement of the volume of comparable goods and services being produced in each country rather than incorporating currency valuations as nominal GDP does.
